Jason Dady seems to be everywhere these days. And it's not only that he has his hand in multiple brick-and-mortar restaurants ranging from semi-haute Italian to beyond-basic barbecue, but also that the DUK truck may be coming to a food trailer site near you. The food truck Dady thinks of as a test kitchen where young chefs can hone their chops; Dady's appearances at events such as the newly re-baptized Austin Food & Wine Festival (Andrew Weissman is SA's other representative) are a way of not only expanding his own horizons but also holding high the San Antonio banner. Little wonder he was recently recognized by starchefs.com as a Rising Star restaurateur. Though he recently closed the Lodge, his debut enterprise, we can't imagine that there's not something else in the works. Some chefs just have that itch, and we can't wait to see what happens next.
