Aural Pleasure Review

Mrs. Howl: 'Dance Inertia'

Photo: , License: N/A

Mrs. Howl came and went like a comet. In just two years in SA, they became one of the strongest and more active local acts, thanks to riotous live shows and an explosive 2012 debut, Lovie and a Yellow Lamp. This follow-up EP is a concentrated experiment that squeezes five solid songs into 15 minutes of alternative country, grunge, and a surprise hidden cover. Too bad Laurel and Chelsea Dagger (guitar and vocals, respectively) relocated to Seattle just when they were showing tremendous growth as a band (the addition of Langton Drive’s Christine Rebel on drums was a winner). A warm goodbye from a band that will be missed.
