In the last week you played at Limelight, the roof at Artpace, now you're talking to me just before a show in San Marcos, and you even found time to open for DEV at Backstage Live. How was that particular show?
That was great. We didn't know what to expect. Completely different audience than usual, lots of people from the Northside. I was expecting to play for about 100, but there were about 500 people during our set, people who had never seen us before. They gave us great vibes, even though we've been playing forever under their noses.

And now, the new album. How's that going?
It'll be a full-length. I credit you with challenging us to make a full-length.

Thanks, dude. Enough EPs, don't you think?
Yeah, you always said no one puts out records anymore. So we've been working at it for five months now in our jam space, and we've probably put on 500 hours into it already. It's probably going to have 13 songs and, knowing our songs, it'll be about 80 minutes long. It's kind of ambitious, and its theme will have an element of cyclical reincarnation-calendar-time-animal to it. I'm playing with the idea of having artwork done for each song, but I don't know. Then do a listening party at a gallery, where you see those paintings on the wall, or something … More like an art opening.

Can you do both? Have the listening/viewing party at a gallery followed by the actual kickass show?
Maybe we will. It'll happen around early June. I keep telling people my ideas before I do them, so then I'm forced to do it.
