Twisted Taco Truck Throwdown

Aided by the opening of Boardwalk on Bulverde, the lot for in-town food trucks, mobile dining continues to trend positive in San Antonio. Cruising Kitchens, the team behind Boardwalk on Bulverde, is aiming to keep the tires turning with special events. They’ve started screening family movies at night to add a cinematic aspect to the dining experience, and are pitting SA’s taco trucks against each other on Friday, June 17 to keep things interesting.

You can get $1 tacos from 5 to 9 p.m. during the competitive Twisted Taco Truck Throwdown being held at VFW Post 76 at 10 Tenth St. Twisted teas will sell for $2 and Los #3 Dinners will be on hand for musical entertainment. The winning truck will be crowned at 9:30 p.m. If you’ve never been to this VFW, it’s worth it to check out the architecture and vibe of the oldest post in Texas.
