Muffins and latte are fine for a quick bite, but if you want to tuck in to a real breakfast ditch the coffee shop and head up Fred for some serious fare: two eggs covered with pungent salsa, country-style potatoes nicely browned, next to some of the best, buttery, refritos in town. Choose BBQ as the side — barbacoa really is a specialty in this house, whose patrons will likely tell you they've been coming back for 20 years or more.
