September brings new restaurants as Green goes north
Published: August 31, 2011
Green Vegetarian Cuisine, one of the few vegetarian restaurants in town, wasn’t content simply with a menu revamp including a veggie take on fish tacos, apparently. As a follow-up, they’re taking that menu to a second location. For those on the Northside wanting to sample the kosher vegetarian fare, you’ll find them opening in October in the Alon Town Center, near H-E-B Alon Market.
The old Watermark Grill location on Stone Oak Parkway is being occupied by the clunkily named Drew’s An American Grill, an American eatery. Slated for a September opening, Drew’s (already getting optimistic points on Urbanspoon) will hopefully have more success than Watermark. In a final bit of restaurant news, the old Oloroso building in Southtown has been snatched up. The South Alamo location will soon feature Feast, serving New American food with Mediterranean touches. Chef Stefan Bowers from 20Nine Restaurant and Bar joins Feast, and owner Andrew Goodman is hoping for a late September opening.
