Ring out the old with Jason Dady

Chef Jason Dady is offering a sweet holiday special — for every $100 you purchase in gift certificates, you'll get a $25 gift certificate. With the Lodge shutting its doors at the end of the year, you could use that extra $25 to ring 2011 out in style and celebrate the end of a great restaurant in San Antonio. Reservations are still open to spend Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve at the Lodge and Bin 555, Tre Trattoria Alamo Heights or Tre Trattoria Downtown.
And it's a little early to talk about a March event, but all of this holiday gluttony already has me craving exercise. Early-bird pricing for the Culinaria 5K Wine Run on March 24 is open, too. So sign up at culinariasa.org if you're concerned about your ability to follow through on those New Year's resolutions. After the course, runners will be treated to food and wine. So it won't be a total wash.
