Restaurant Week means city-wide specials

If you've been dying to try one of San Antonio's better restaurants, but haven't found a good excuse to go, you're in luck this week. During Culinaria's Restaurant Week — August 18-25 —participating restaurants will be offering three-course prix-fixe lunches for $15 and dinners for $35. I'd head out to Esquire Tavern, Bin 555, Mela Indian Bar & Grill, Restaurant Gwendolyn, RoMo's Café, Q at the Hyatt Regency, and Tost Bistro & Bar. Find the full list of restaurants and contact info for reservations at culinariasa.org.

The Palm (223 E Houston) is holding a cocktail special all August — their classic and signature cocktails and after-dinner drinks are only $8.37 at the bar between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. to close. Also, the restaurant is introducing new bar bites for $5.50, including a lobster and bacon fondue and barbeque chicken meatball sliders.
