Several local culinary stars might soon become figures in the national firmament. The James Beard Foundation have nominated Jason Dady of Tre Trattoria, Two Bros. BBQ, and Bin 555, and Bruce Auden of Biga on the Banks and Auden's Kitchen for Beard Awards: sort of like the Oscars of the food world. Dady was nominated as an Outstanding Restauranteur, and Auden was nominated as one of the Best Chefs in the Southwest for Biga on the Banks. The Esquire Tavern also got a nom in the Outstanding Bar Program category. Finalists will be announced on March 19, and the awards will be handed out on May 7.
