Industry News: Whataburger ketchup online, Lobster Fest, Urth goes Green

If you’re craving Green Vegetarian Cuisine’s protein bowls and quinoa wraps, you now have another place to get them. Urth Juice Bar at The Yard in Olmos Park (5300 McCullough) sells a variety of dishes from Green. For a healthy fix on Saturdays (when Green is closed), go to Urth and pick one up, along with a smoothie, juice or fruit cup.

Whataburger made a lot of people happy locally when they started selling their signature ketchup, spicy ketchup and mustard at H-E-B. Now anyone can buy Whataburger condiments online at Whataburger.com. You can buy three packs for $19.99 and six packs for $26.99, any combination of the three products. Ground shipping is free in the continental U.S.

Frederick’s Bistro (14439 NW Military) is having a Lobster Fest right now. Thursdays through Sundays for the remainder of July, Frederick’s is serving 1.5 pounds of lobster for $49.95. There are five different lobster entrees to choose from, and your meal includes a soup, salad or oyster casino, and dessert.

Cocina Heritage Catering is holding a summer brunch of Mexican delights. On Sunday, July 21 at 11 a.m., the catering business is serving a four-course brunch at Bake, Broil & Brew (1508 Guadalupe St), the kitchen-for-hire. Tickets for adults are $29 and can be purchased at summerbrunchsanantonio.eventbrite.com.

In honor of National Hot Dog Month, Charlie Wants a Burger (223 Losoya) is selling a hot dog and milkshake combo for $11.95 this month.

And if you have any questions when you’re grilling at your barbecue, ask the LongHorn Steakhouse. This is National Grilling Month, and the Grill Masters at LongHorn want to you to grill right. Hollywood actor Armie Hammer owns Bird Bakery (5912 Broadway) with his wife Elizabeth Chambers. He’s also starring in The Lone Ranger with Johnny Depp. To celebrate the movie, Bird Bakery is selling Lone Ranger cupcakes this month. They’re white cupcakes decorated with a Lone Ranger mask. Hopefully people are more receptive to the cupcakes than they were to the film.

The Quarry Farmers and Ranchers Market (255 E Basse) has a new vendor—Big City Foods, selling sweet and savory fried hand pies.
