Corner Bakery has two locations in San Antonio, at the Quarry and in Stone Oak.
Restaurateur Bernard McGraw opened Bernard's Creole Kitchen in San Antonio after evacuating New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina. He relocated his restaurant to the Stinson Municipal Airport last week, appropriately during Mardi Gras.
If you're serious about getting an education in the culinary arts, the San Antonio chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier International is accepting applications for 2013-2014 scholarships for women. The nonprofit association promotes women in the culinary industry. Those interested in applying for the scholarship should go to ldeisanantonio.org and fill out the application by April 15.
