H-E-B, Sa Food Trucks Cook for Charity
Published: September 19, 2012
San Antonio food trucks and H-E-B are partnering to raise money for charity. In the Food Truck Face Off on Saturday, September 22, Jason Dady's DUK Truck, Johnny Hernandez's True Flavors, Pieter Sypesteyn's Where Y'At, and Michael Anthony Romo's MARS Mobile Kitchen will compete using H-E-B products. The winning truck will get a donation to give to a charity of their choice, and the trucks will be open for business after the competition. The event's at the H-E-B at Blanco and 1604, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
While you're at H-E-B, pick up an avocado or two and make guacamole, because you could win some prizes for it. Olé Avocado, a San Antonio guacamole company, is holding a guacamole contest through the end of September. Tell how you use guacamole and share a pic at oleavocado.com or Olé Avocado's Facebook page for a chance to win H-E-B gift cards and other guacamole items.
