Get lucky with Eva

Eva Longoria's Celebrity Casino Night, a posh poker benefit for her Eva's Heroes charity foundation, is going on as usual this year — without Tony P. but with a pot sweetened by several of San Antonio's finest chefs, bartenders, and wine suppliers. The royal flush of local restaurants, emphasizing the event's new emphasis on food, includes The RK Group, Paesanos 1604, La Hacienda de Los Barrios, Biga on the Banks, Francesca's at Sunset, Jason Dady restaurants, Boudro's, The Fig Tree, Lüke, and the C.I.A. Tickets for regular rollers are $200, the high-roller crowd will pay $400 to compete in the poker tourney — but they'll at least go away with some good drinks specially concocted by the crack 'tending team at the Esquire Tavern. The event takes place at 6 p.m. on October 29 inside a private hangar (9023 Wetmore Rd) at the San Antonio Airport. For information (the event is selling out fast), visit evasheroes.org or call Outside the Box Productions at (210) 481-1200.
