Wednesday, Aug. 14: Pizza and beer gets chi-chi when Stella Public House and Brooklyn Beer team up for a beer dinner. Five courses, five brews, one happy belly. $55, 7pm, 1414 S Alamo, (210) 277-7045, stellapublichouse.com.

Thursday, Aug. 15: The mother of all PBS cooking shows would have turned 101 Thursday; celebrate classic French cuisine a la Julia Child with the staff at Sur La Table. Five percent of the proceeds will go to Wholesome Wave, a national nonprofit that provides community access to fresh, local produce. The menu for the evening includes curly endive with bacon and poached eggs, coq au vin, stove-top pommes Anna and chocolate mousse. $69, 6:30-8:30pm, 15900 La Cantera Pkwy, (210) 978-5586, surlatable.com.

Saturday, Aug. 17: Learn about production and sample some of SA’s best bourbon during Ranger Creek’s monthly Brewstillery tour, which includes a peek at the beer and bourbon production at the facility.
