Crumpets has food events; more restaurant openings

Crumpets Restaurant & Bakery at 3920 Harry Wurzbach Rd. is holding a dinner this Friday, March 22, at 7 p.m. The five-course meal will pair French food with French wines (obviously). Guests will learn a bit about wine pairings during the meal. Seats are $70 per person. And it's not too early to reserve a seat at their Easter brunch on March 31 from 11 a.m. — 4 p.m. There are several options, including eggs benedict, veal scaloppini, and a trio of meats. Andrew Weissman's restaurant-in-a-shipping container, The Luxury, opened to fanfare and long lines this month. Casual eatery Picnikins opened a second location at Hausman and I-10, which had its grand opening last week. Zoe's Kitchen, the healthy fast casual chain, opened their second San Antonio location at 11255 Huebner Road.
