Cooking channel filming area food trucks

Photo: , License: N/A

If you spot people filming at food trucks this weekend, it's for the Cooking Channel show "Eat St." Hosted by comedian James Cunningham, the program profiles food trucks nationwide. On Friday, you'll find the film crews at Alamo Street Eat-Bar (609 S Alamo) to get the Tapa Tapa Truck on tape. Head out to Point Park and Eats (24188 Boerne Stage Rd) on Saturday to try to get your bobblehead in the frame. Then on Sunday and Monday, crews will be at the Boardwalk on Bulverde (14732 Bulverde) to film the trucks Rickshaw Stop and Society Bakery. It's a great excuse to hit up some of our local food truck parks and support mobile chefs.

Max's Wine Dive (340 E Basse, Ste 101) is getting into the social media spirit and holding a tweet-up at 5:30 p.m Thursday, July 19. Stop in for happy hour wine and app specials and for mingling with other foodies and social media mavens. Go to twtvite.com/maxstweetup for details and to RSVP.
