Brown's espresso workshop for caffeine fiends

Photo: , License: N/A

Lovers of really good coffee rarely settle for the house blend at Starbucks. They make their own coffee, lovingly babying the beans and faithfully cleaning out their Chemexes. If that's what floats your boat, Brown Coffee Company is having an espresso workshop at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 27. Called Brew This!, the session will cover the history and theory of espresso brewing and provide hands-on practice brewing some beans. Attendees will get a bag of Cottonwood Espresso to take home, too. Classes are $99 and tickets are available at shop.browncoffeeco.com.

Meanwhile, the Special Projects Social one-year anniversary dinner this Saturday is sold-out, but $40 tickets to the "Head Case" after party with open bar, late night treats, and music by Henry and the Invisibles are still available at thespecialprojectssocial.com.
