910 S Alamo, (210) 223-1806, rosariossa.com

Rosario's is known for two kinds of salsa — the one you dance to, and the one you savor. The latter is the product of a lady known as Angélica, who has worked at the restaurant for the last 15 of its 20 years. She has the key to that secret combination of a variety of chilis, tomatos, and… Well, it's a secret. But the specific ingredients are the only secret to this salsa, the best of the city according to our readers. Anyone who has tasted it has already probably ordered the stuff to go, as many do. Beware: It takes Angélica two hours to make her salsa, but it only takes a second to become addicted to it.
