"Geeks Who Drink is funny, it's off the wall, sometimes crass, and occasionally vulgar," says Shane Fordyce of Geeks Who Drink in San Antonio, a company that invites people to meet weekly and play its own genre of trivia. Quiz night with the Geeks takes an edgy approach to testing one's knowledge across the board. But with games like Trivial Pursuit available, what makes quiz night with GWD so special? Fordyce suggests it all in the presentation. "It's really about getting together with your friends to have a few drinks and have some fun while a loudmouth with a microphone [the Quiz Master] hammers you with some of the most interesting, funny, and off-the-wall questions you'll ever hear." The event draws a diverse crowd, but the easily offended (certainly not any of our readers) may want to stay at home. One Best Game Night runner-up in a string of single-vote second places came from a reader who nominated "when you crawl up my pants and have a ball!" Thanks for that.
