Since the Current introduced the Piercing Shop category in 2008, Dandyland has always been considered the best at what they do. For the fifth consecutive year, the shop again proves they are the leader in the specialized art form. "We have a firm understanding and knowledge of what we are doing on both the customer service and production end of the business," said shop manager Miro Hernandez. "We never cut corners and want to make sure we are using the safest procedures." Hernandez, the only piercer in San Antonio who is a member of the Association of Professional Piercers, says Dandyland's prominent reputation also comes from the high-quality and unique jewelry pieces they sell at the shop. This year, the shop has officially completed their conversion into a titanium-exclusive studio. As for customers and their piercing choices: "After 11 years in the industry nothing shocks me anymore."
