1. Randy Beamer
News 4 WOAI, woai.com

Real men don't have mustaches — they have "Beamers": beautiful swarthy locks of grated dark steel forged across their upper lips. At least that's how we used to refer to our own rugged woolen caterpillars until a certain local newscaster shaved, becoming in a few strokes just "Randy" to us. The subtraction act didn't make him any less of a reporter; the man's four Emmys and Edward R. Murrow Award attest to his great investigative skill (and the voters haven't seemed to hold it against him … yet). But there are a growing number of us who feel the shave left him a lesser man. Bring back the Beamer, Randy! We're not kidding. If you fail to act on our demand, we pledge our timid-seeming voice will grow into a groundswell that will one day force the powers that be at WOAI to bar the blade and free the Beamer by force! (And, yes, there probably is a takeaway message for Ursula and Isis, nipping on your heels. We're working on it.)
