Best City Park

1. Brackenridge Park
3700 N St. Mary’s, brackenridgepark.org

For more than 100 years, Brackenridge has been a lush, green escape near downtown. Tree-lined paths, both paved for biking and dirt for walking, snake through the park, as do the cool waters from our cleanest-in-recent-memory San Antonio River. Lots of quiet, tree-covered nooks offer ideal siesta spots. Shady, green open spaces abound, perfect for picnicking. And apparently many of you are sharers, since the Brackenridge ducks are lookin’ rather plump these days.

2. Phil Hardberger Park
8400 NW Military Hwy, 13203 Blanco, philhardbergerpark.org

3. McAllister Park
13102 Jones Maltsberger, sanantonio.gov/parksandrec/directory_mcallister.aspx
