October 5-28: Greater Tuna
Built around "stories of America," The Playhouse's season kicks off in Tuna, Texas, the "third-smallest" town in the Lone Star State. Two actors portray a host of characters — including Didi Snavely, owner of Didi's Used Weapons, and The Reverend Spikes, president of the Smut Snatchers of the New Order — made famous by Jaston Williams and Joe Sears, who created the beloved spoof on small-town life with collaborator Ed Howard.

Chris Manley's psychedelic trip down the yellow brick road conjures the surreal magic of synching Pink Floyd's 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon with the 1939 MGM classic The Wizard of Oz.

December 7-22: A Country Christmas
December 14-29: Zombie Apocalypse Christmas 2012
