1. The Overtime Theater
The Blue Star Art Complex, 1414 S Alamo, Ste 103 (Until May), (210) 557-7562, theovertimetheater.org

It's another notch in the belt for the Overtime Theater, which is celebrating its fifth year of all-original programming, including famously wacky musicals, noir-tinged dramas, and plenty of popcorn in between. But this year ain't going to be a year like any other: the Overtime loses its lease in the Blue Star complex in May, and an extensive Kickstarter campaign is supporting a move to, well, somewhere for the remainder of the 2012 season and beyond. The New Year also rang in changes to the administrative structure of the Overtime, with Michael Burger taking the reins as executive director and Kyle Gillette — professor of drama at Trinity — joining the company as artistic director. While retaining its focus on performance, the Overtime aims to expand its programming to film screenings, art exhibits, and touring productions: staff at San Antonio's favorite theater are obviously working overtime to create a new Overtime for 2013 and beyond.

2. The Magik Theatre

3. San Pedro Playhouse
