1. Bussey's Flea Market
18738 IH 35 N, Schertz, (210) 651-6830, busseysfm.com
In 1978, H. P. Bussey opened one of the most storied flea markets in the region with 120 spaces. Today, the flea market has grown to 500 vendors and is visited by between 12,000 and 16,000 people every weekend. The market is open from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekend and features two ATM's onsite, paved parking (for only $1!), rest areas, and food stations that carry anything from snack bars to hamburgers. … Or was that a deep-fried crocheted owl oven mitt folded beneath that melty orange cheese? Who cares. The price was worth it.
