Best Cigar Shop

1. Finck's Cigar Factory Outlet
6100 West Ave, (210) 341-8888, finckcigarfactoryoutlet.com

Since cigars became trendy, johnny-come-lately "aficionados" have emerged pretending they've smoked all along. They take inexpertly to the cutter, snipping beyond the bit of tobacco leaf or "cap" essentially holding the thing together, mutilating a beautiful smoke. They puff away furiously, wondering why their cigar slowly unravels. Finck's is the perfect set-you-right. Not only does it have the largest, walk-in humidors in Texas, but the staff is knowledgeable without being snobby, gently dispensing advice to neophytes while expertly catering to pros. The product variety reflects this clientele range — from dollar cigarillos to premium smokes at $30 a pop. We don't often smoke cigars anymore, but when we do we smoke them at Finck's.
